Physics introduces grade 11 and 12 students to the study of matter, its fundamental constituents, its motion and behavior through space and time, and the related entities of energy and force.

Prerequisite: Algebra I and II

Introduction to Agriscience*

Taught by Mr. Rosemeyer

Agriscience is a broad interdisciplinary field of biology. In Introduction to Agriscience students will explore the natural, economic, and social sciences related to the practice and understanding of agriculture.

Prerequisite: none

Production Animal Science*

Taught by Mr. Rosemeyer

Production Animal Science offers students the opportunity to apply scientific principles to the production of domestic livestock species such as beef, dairy, and swine. This includes a basic understanding of anatomy and physiology, as well as management of animal genetics, health, and nutrition.

Prerequisite: Introduction to Agriscience

Plant and Soil Science*

Taught by Mr. Rosemeyer

Plant and Soil Science offers students the opportunity to gain a scientific understanding of the form and function of agricultural plant systems, as well as the soil they grow in. As part of this, students will study plant anatomy and physiology, classification, and the fundamentals of production and harvesting. In the way of soil, students will explore soil formation, classification, and properties related to use and management.

Prerequisite: Introduction to Agriscience

*NOTE: These Agriculture Department courses will be offered for science credit pending DPI approval by 1/1/2024.
