LAB REPORT GUIDELINES & RUBRIC
Once you have completed your lab study, you will need to prepare an investigation report, using your own words. Your report should include three sections and provide answers to the following questions:
Section 1: Introduction
What question were you trying to answer and why? (Hint: For the "why," refer to the introduction of your lab. This will help you to determine the background information necessary to answer your guiding question. In other words, why is the guiding question important to your understanding of chemistry?)
Section 2: Method
What did you do during your investigation and why did you conduct your investigation in this way?
Section 3: Argument
What is your argument?
Please refer to our LAB REPORT RUBRIC for more details about how each section and the overall paper will be assessed.
Be sure to write in a persuasive style; you are trying to convince others that your claim is acceptable or valid.
Please abide by the following formatting requirements:
- When titling your paper, put the following in the header on every page, aligned to the right: Your Name, INTRO TO BIOCHEM 806-186, and the due date. Then begin your paper with our lab title, centered.
